Have full use of the house & porch for activities such as getting ready or cocktail hour, with a tented reception, dining on the lawn. (Reception tent rented separate and is not apart of the Venue Fee, deposit required for a tent over 55 guests.)

We require a $1m event insurance policy with The House on Barber Mill listed as the additional insured.

North Carolina and Johnston County charges a 6.75% sales tax in addition to the venue rental
Pricing subject to change at any time.
Your contracted rate and terms will be based on the date the contract is written, not the date of the tour. (Sometimes couples tour weeks or months before they book, or before we open a future year calendar for booking. If there has been a change in rate, the contracted investment/terms will be based on the date we wrote in the contract, not the date of the tour.)
An insured approved Month or Day of Coordinator is required. Choose our in-house Coordinator or another. The choice is yours.
We aim to have no hidden fees. Linens and a tent rental ( over 55 guests) are the only things you might add on to the rental fee. You can choose to rent these items through us or a third party.
The House on Barber Mill owns two 10 x 30 tents for a ceremony rain backup (only) for up to 65 guests.
Discounts available for Active-duty and Veterans of the US Military.
Catering and Bar Options
The House on Barber Mill has teamed up with several amazing caterers at a variety of price points with delicious menu options and bar options. We do not require you to use our preferred caterers but your caterer and all vendors must be insured.
You may choose to hire our in-house bartender or a full bar package (here), but you are welcome to use an outside vendor if you’d like.
Please note that you will need to hire an insured bartender or bar service for your event. You can bring in your own alcohol, but it cannot be served legally in North Carolina without an insured bartender.
Additional ABC permit acquired by the couple is needed for liquor service ($50.00).
